Scream 7 Adds a Few Familiar Faces and Plenty of Fresh Blood

The Scream franchise is set to return with its seventh installment, Scream 7, set to hit theaters on February 27, 2026. Directed by franchise creator Kevin Williamson, this film promises to deliver the same spine-chilling thrills that fans have come to love — especially given the fact that the iconic Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has returned to the center of the story. So, with Campbell making her return, who else can we expect to join the bloodbath?

Returning Stars

As we stated above, Campbell is reprising her iconic role as Sidney Prescott, the franchise's beloved final girl. After a smaller role in Scream (2022) and a brief absence in Scream VI, Campbell's return has been met with enthusiasm from fans who are eager to see her take on Ghostface once more. Courteney Cox will also be back as the infamous Gale Weathers, bringing her signature blend of tenacity and wit to the screen as another irreplaceable legacy character.

It’s also been confirmed that Scream (2022) and Scream VI star Mason Gooding will reprise his role as Chad Meeks-Martin, one of the younger characters who survived the Ghostface attacks in the previous films.

New Additions

Joining the returning cast are several exciting new faces. Isabel May, known for her role in 1883, was one of the first to be cast in a key role — as well as McKenna Grace, who has impressed audiences with her performances in The Handmaid's Tale. Other newcomers include Asa Germann (Gen V) and Sam Rechner (Heartbreak High), alongside Celeste O'Connor (Madame Web) and Anna Camp (Pitch Perfect) rounding out the new additions to the ensemble horror cast.

With a mix of returning favorites and exciting new additions, Scream 7 is quickly shaping up to be a thrilling continuation of the beloved franchise. And we can’t wait to see what this next chapter entails.
